Who I am

This website belongs to Power-up Media, the sole proprietorship of Arno van Oordt (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 01174422). Power-up Media is the controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Contact form and email

When you fill in the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address, your message and (if you fill it in) your phone number. I only use this to answer your question and, if you ask for one, to prepare a quote. Legal basis: your request to get in touch (pre-contractual steps) and my legitimate interest in answering messages.

Clients and projects

For a project I process contact and billing details, such as name, company name, address, email address, phone number and VAT number. Legal basis: performing our contract and my legal accounting obligations.

Visiting the website

To see how the website is used, I use Google Analytics (see Cookies). This covers data such as pages visited, the referring website, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Legal basis: your consent.

Spam protection and log files

My hosting provider keeps technical log files (such as IP address, time and browser) to keep the website secure and available. The contact form is protected against spam with Cloudflare Turnstile. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in a secure website.

Cookies

This website uses:
– functional cookies needed for the website and the contact form to work;
– your choice in the cookie notice, stored in your own browser;
– analytics cookies from Google Analytics, only if you consent to them.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting this website's cookies and site data in your browser; the cookie notice will then appear again. In Google Analytics I have turned off sharing data with Google for other purposes.

Third-party services

I use the following services, which process (part of) your data for that purpose:
– Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): website statistics;
– Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.): spam protection for the contact form;
– my hosting provider: hosting of the website and email.

Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

I never sell your data and do not share it with others, unless the law requires me to.

How long I keep data

– Messages via the contact form or email: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they lead to a project.
– Client and billing details: 7 years, because of the Dutch tax retention obligation.
– Data in Google Analytics: up to 14 months.

Security

I take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and only I have access to the data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to the processing, have it restricted, have your data transferred, and withdraw consent you have given.

Send your request to info@powerupmedia.nl. I will respond within one month. To avoid giving data to the wrong person, I may ask you to identify yourself.

Not happy with how I handle your data? Please let me know. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

I may update this privacy policy, for example when I start using new services. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
